The two braids that designer Ariane Gallizzi incorporated into the Mamma Mia Shawlette were inspired by her mother and symbolize their lives together, side by side. Even though they live on different continents, they remain closely connected.
The Mamma Mia Shawlette is knit top down and uses a fun and easy technique to create the braids. The size of the shawlette is easily adaptable and can be knit in any yarn weight. Choose to add tassels for a more playful version or leave them out for a classic shawlette.
