Fiesta Shawl (Scarf or Poncho)

Lana Grossa

  • We've named this stunning pattern the Fiesta Shawl (wrap) for its vibrant color and chevron stripes which are evocative of the Sonoran Desert.

Originally published in Lana Grossa's Filati magazine (55-51), it's been translated by Trendsetter Yarn Group and includes instructions for a shawl/wrap, scarf, or poncho.

This simple pattern features two wildly different yarns. Gomitolo Versione is a soft 60% wool, 40% acrylic worsted-weight, slightly twisted blend. Silkhair Print is a light fingering weight, self-striping yarn made of 70% Super Kid Mohair and 30% Silk. Together, they create a most dramatic fabric.

All patterns call for one (1) cake Gomitolo Versione, in addition to one (1) skein Silkhair Print for the Scarf Pattern OR two (2) skeins Silkhair Print for the Shawl/Wrap/Poncho patterns. A few color combinations are suggested below, or feel free to create your own.
