Deborah Jarchow’s stunning woven CinCin & Silkhair Poncho combines two yarns to create a cloth with vibrant color and interesting texture. Both yarns feature subtle tonal color changes. The Cin Cin also features textural changes within the yarn itself. Areas of the yarn are smooth and slightly thinner, morphing into a thicker, bumpy structure that creates wonderful variety in the finished woven cloth. The loom is warped with alternate areas of the two yarns which gives the finished garment a subtle stripe.
This pattern assumes you are familiar with direct warping and hemstitching.
