Three fabulous colors of Urth Yarn's naturally-dyed, superwash Harvest Fingering come together effortlessly in the Divanyolu Shawl. The delicate interplay of linen stitch as it flows along to an eyelet trellis creates a wonderful piece of wearable art.
Catherine Salter Bayar’s beautiful design is inspired by the Divan Yolu in the heart of historic Instanbul. Its texture is reminiscent of the district‘s cobblestoned streets; its colors overlap and blend like Turkish mosaics, and its design reflects the merging of people of various cultures…intersecting, yet not dividing. The shawl ends in a rippling curve, like the coastline waves of the nearby Bosphorus.
Designed to use large needles (US size 11), it's a wonderful project for knitters who suffer from arthritis!
