The cool cotton/silk/viscose blend of Noro's Mirai lends sumptuous drape to this Crescent Shawl, designed by Lisa M. Barnes and featured in Noro Magazine'sSpring/Summer 2016 issue.
Worked from the bottom up, it’s shaped with short rows after the scalloped heart-lace border is complete. Purl ridges add subtle texture where the border and stockinette-stitch body meet.
Kit includes 1 or 2 skeins* of Noro's Mirai (100g ea.) and a downloadable PDF of the pattern FREE (a $5.00 value). For full yarn details, click the link above.
Size: One size, knit on US 7 (4.5mm) needle.
Finished Measurements: 14" (35.5 cm) wide x 52" (132 cm) long
*A note about yarn amounts. The prototype shown in the magazine used just over 1 ball of Mirai yarn. Thus the magazine called for 2 balls. However, during a knit-along in 2016, multiple knitters completed the shawl with just one ball. We suggest you play it safe and get 2 balls, but we've created a 1- and 2-ball option, so you can choose what feels best to you.
