General Information

Izzy Knits is a virtual (online-only) local yarn shop based in Irvine, California.

Our store hours are 10:00 am to 5:00 pm (PT), Monday through Friday. We are also often available on Saturday, though it's not guaranteed.

We do not work on Sunday.

Our telephone number is (800) 231-0154. If we don't answer the phone, please LEAVE A MESSAGE. We will get back to you, we promise!

Our favorite method of contact is via email at info@izzyknits.com. We check our email often and respond quickly. It's the best way to reach us!

Yes! Izzy Knits has two online shops. One (this one) is powered by Shopify and is our main shop. The other is an Etsy shop.

Because the two sites are linked, 90% of our products are available on both. Approximately 10% of our products do not appear in the Etsy shop. That is why we consider this our primary location.

Izzy's Fiber Fan Club

First, there's no commitment, and joining is absolutely free!

In short, Izzy's Fiber Fan Club is our way of saying THANK YOU to our customers. Known commonly as a loyalty & rewards program, our Fan Club provides customers with a way to earn points redeemable for exclusive rewards. Rewards may include $ or % off coupons, free shipping, free products, and more!

In addition to earning rewards, Fans become Izzy Knits account holders, which means they have access to their order history and can save up to 5 mailing/billing addresses, making checkout quicker and easier.

And isn't that what we all want? Convenience and free goodies!

It sure does! If you've shopped with us in the past, we've given you points for your past purchases. All you need to do to activate them is create a Fiber Fan account. Who knows? You may already be eligible for a reward!

For everything Fan-related, you want to click on the purple icon that reads "Izzy's Fiber Fan Club" on the bottom right of your screen. This icon appears on every page of our website. It can sometimes be a little slow to pop up, so if you don't see it immediately, just give it a moment.

From this "club dashboard", you can learn how to earn points (Earning Fan Points), learn what rewards are available to you (Redeem Fan Points), copy your unique Fan Referral code, and view your active rewards/retrieve coupon codes.

Once you redeem points for a reward, you'll receive a coupon code which you can apply to your next order.

This code will be sent to you 1) via email and 2) will reside in your "club dashboard". To find your code on the dashboard, click the purple icon that reads "Izzy's Fiber Fan Club" on the bottom right of your screen and sign in to your account. Then, scroll to the bottom of the dashboard until you see "Your Rewards". Click "Your Rewards", then click "View" next to the reward you want to redeem. Your code will appear, which you can either copy and paste at checkout or simply click on the "Apply Code" button to apply the code automatically to your cart.

When you refer a friend, they receive a $5 off coupon good towards their first order. Once they've made a purchase, you'll receive 50 points in your Fan account.

To refer a friend:

Step 1: Sign in to your Fiber Fan account by clicking the purple icon that reads "Izzy's Fiber Fan Club" on the bottom right of your screen at www.IzzyKnits.com.

Step 2: Scroll down until you find your unique referral link. Copy it by clicking the tiny document icon on the right.

Step 3: Share this link (which is unique to you!) wherever you want...Instagram stories, Facebook groups, your website, via email or text, etc.

Step 4: Whenever someone places their first order using your link, they'll get $5 off, and you'll receive 50 Fan Points added to your account, which you can redeem at any time!

To receive a $5 Off Coupon as a friend referral, the friend must be a new customer. If you are already in our database, then you will not qualify.

However, you can still join the club ... and we'll give you 25 points just for signing up! So you'll already be half-way to your first $5 Off reward!! Plus, if you've shopped with us in the past, we've given you points for your past purchases. All you need to do to activate them is create a Fiber Fan account. Who knows? You may already be eligible for an ever larger reward!

In the Club Dashboard, when you click "Earning Fan Points" and then "Writing a Review" or "Submitting a Review w/Photo", there must be an order associated with your account for products to appear which you can then review.

This is because Fan Points can only be earned for product-specific reviews. General Reviews are not eligible for Fan Points.

Need Yarn Help?

One of the biggest challenges to shopping for yarn online is not knowing how it feels. If you want a personal description of how it feels to us, just give us a call. We're happy to describe it to you. Call us any time between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm (PT) at (800) 231-0154.

One answer is ... KITS! We're bringing more and more kits into the shop every month that either come with a project pattern (see Complete Kits) or where the pattern is sold separately (see Yarn Kits) and we provide you with the link.

We also try to list a couple of patterns (either available at Izzy Knits or elsewhere) in every yarn description, so you can click through to see a few samples before you buy.

Yes! We love color and are happy to help you choose the perfect colors for your project. Call us any time between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm (PT) at (800) 231-0154 with your color questions. I can send you extra photos or we can even FaceTime. Whatever it takes!

Single Pattern Purchases

Beginning February 1, 2021 we will be emailing all PDF Patterns separately after an order has been processed.

We have found this to be the most reliable way of making sure our customers receive their patterns. If, for any reason, you do not receive a pattern, simply send us an email and we'll reply to it with the pattern within 24 hours or less.

It depends...

If we've been granted the right to distribute the pattern, we will gladly provide you with a PDF in addition to the printed version.

In the case of "professionally printed patterns" and some others, we have purchased those to resell and do not have the rights to the digital version.

In any case, just send us and email and we will let you know what we can do!

Orders & Shipping

Orders received prior to 5:00 pm (PT) are often processed within hours of receipt. That means that, if you wish to edit an order for any reason, you MUST contact us right away, either by email or telephone at (800)231-0154. A "processed" order is one that has been fulfilled locally or has been forwarded to one of our drop ship partners for fulfillment.

For items stocked locally, our goal is to ship "same day" all orders placed prior to 4:00 pm (PT) Monday-Friday or before 1:00pm (PT) Saturday. Orders received after 1:00 pm (PT) Saturday or on Sunday will ship Monday.

Our drop ship partners' shipping schedules vary. Please refer to the Drop Shipping section of these FAQs for vendor-specific details.

Yes. We offer curbside pickup, by appointment. Just add a note to your order at checkout, or email us IMMEDIATELY after placing your order so we don't process/ship it same day.

Curbside pickup applies only to products stocked locally. Drop-shipped items are not eligible for pick up.

Currently, we are shipping internationally to Canada only.

As of January 2, 2021, all international shipments will be sent via USPS (US Postal Service), and could incurr additional customs/import duties and fees imposed by the Canadian government. Any such fees are the sole responsibility of the customer.

This change of provider was made our customers' request.

Drop Shipping

We began drop shipping products during the Covid-19 crisis when our vendors blessed us (see our blog post) with this option!

Drop shipping allows small businesses like ours to offer our customers more products than we otherwise could, because we don't have to pre-purchase all of the inventory. Instead, our vendors carry the inventory, and we pay for it only after an order has been placed, helping us better manage our cash flow in this difficult economic climate.

No. Shipping fees are determined at checkout. We charge for shipping as if all items are shipped from our location in California, based on weight, destination, and speed of delivery as determined by the customer (e.g. standard vs. expedited).

Currently, Trendsetter Yarns will drop ship to Canada.

Neither Knitting Fever (Noro) nor Urth Yarns drop ship internationally.

Most products are housed locally at Izzy Knits and do not drop ship.

Any product that is drop shipped by one of our vendors will be identified as such by the following sentence at the end of the product description: This is a drop-shipped item.

NORO (distributed by Knitting Fever) drop ships from upstate New York.

KNITTING FEVER DOES NOT DROP SHIP TO CANADA.

With a number of yarns in stock and ready to ship, Knitting Fever generally gets our orders in the mail within 24 hours of receiving our request.

If we discover that Knitting Fever does not have the item you ordered in stock, we will immediately contact you with options, which may include waiting, adjusting your color choice, or refunding your order in full.

If you are looking for something specific from Trendsetter Yarn Group, please send us an inquiry via email.

Trendsetter Yarn Group drop ships from Southern California to anywhere in the world.

Items such as kits and full bags of yarn are generally no problem. Individual skeins are often available as well.

Please be sure to include the colorwayand dye lot if you are looking for a particular yarn to finish a work-in-progress.

Urth Yarns drop ships from Turkey, where all of its yarns are spun and hand-dyed.

URTH YARNS DOES NOT DROP SHIP TO CANADA.

For orders of 4 skeins or less, Urth will send the yarns, first to their warehouse in FL, and then to you via USPS. You do NOT pay any extra, but since this happens just 1x/week, it may take up to 2 full weeks for your yarn to arrive at your location. If timing is important, please choose expedited service.Though it costs more, it will shave approximately 1 week off the delivery time.

For orders of 5 or more skeins, Urth will ship directly to your location via DHL international delivery service. We expect this turnaround time to be quicker.

Because all Urth yarns are made in Turkey, we expect they will have most, if not all, products in stock at all times. If we discover that Urth does not have the item you ordered in stock, we will immediately contact you with options, which may include waiting, adjusting your color choice, or refunding your order in full.
