Zen Yarn Garden’s Art Walk Series is a favorite here at Izzy Knits! The yarn—Serenity DK—itself is a delight. Sourced from Italy and hand-dyed in Canada, this 2-ply yarn is soft with a subtle shine. The blend of 90% superwash merino and 10% cashmere knits up beautifully with great stitch definition, but what really sets these yarns apart are their color. Inspired by famous works of art, each Art Walk Series yarn features a vibrant, saturated palette first made great by Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, David Hockney, and others!
In addition to these original Art Walk Series colorways, we are delighted to offer coordinating “splatter” versions of each one, so you can mix and match with confidence. Each “splatter” version was made using the same dyes from the saturated version, hand-splattered against a neutral off-white background.
Only at Izzy Knits! FREE Serenity Scape Shawl pattern with purchase of one solid and one splatter in the same colorway. Sample shown in Garrowby Hill. Designed by Suzanne Nielsen, this pattern sells for $7.00 on Ravelry.
Hand-dyed yarns have subtle variations in colors that are natural and vary from skein to skein. When using hand-dyed yarn, we recommend working two rows from one skein and two rows from another to create a blended effect. Please note, the yarn you receive will not look exactly like the photos shown here. Each and every skein is different. To minimize color discrepancies, make sure you purchase enough yarn at one time to complete your project.
