Yarn made from milk? Yes, it’s true. Bellatrista’s Milk Yarn is spun from 100% milk protein fiber and offers a luxuriously soft and silky alternative to wool.
Milk Bulky is a two-ply bulky-weight yarn that knits up thick and quick, making it ideal for scarves, cowls, afghans, and accessories that are extraordinarily soft and warm. And because it’s machine washable, it’s the perfect yarn for baby blankets!
Milk is luxuriously soft with an elegant shimmer. This unique, renewable fiber combines properties of natural and synthetic yarns, including strength and durability. It’s naturally wrinkle-free, antibacterial and antifungal like bamboo, and exhibits a luxuriousness similar to silk.

Upside down, inside out, doesn’t matter which way you wear designer Ariane Gallizzi’s Amstel Shrug, it’s always right. The cables are reversible! The shrug is knit bottom up (or top down) and seamed at the armholes.
The center cable symbolizes the river Amstel, which gave the medieval city of Amsterdam its name. The surrounding canals were added later, in the 17th century, and form the famous canal district. This beautiful city was Ariane’s home for 3 years and deserves a design dedicated to it!
